It’s been a long minute since British rock darlings Bring Me the Horizon were cranking out deathcore bangers on a regular basis, but the level of success the band has attained can still be surprising at times, like when they collaborated on a track with pop superstar Ed Sheeran.
In a new video from Reading Festival 2022, which took place from August 26 to 28 at Richfield Avenue in Reading, UK, Bring Me the Horizon performed the track with Sheeran during their high-billed set. If you’re a fan of the art rock direction Bring Me the Horizon have progressively taken since 2010’s There is a Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It, there’s a lot to dig about the live performance: the band and Sheeran both sound good, the crowd is hot and the whole stage production is pretty advanced. There’s also the moment when Bring Me the Horizon vocalist Oli Sykes introduces Ed Sheeran by death growling his name… for a song that doesn’t include death growls.
