Though the video doesn’t suggest that the song’s connected to William Gibson’s seminal cyberpunk book of the same name, tech-death band Obscura‘s “The Neuromancer” is just as technically proficient.

Filmed at the Kupfersaal in Cologne, Germany, the music video is pretty straightforward, showcasing the band’s impressive musical chops. Frontman Steffen Kummerer said the track was one of the most difficult ones the band’s done in a while.

“We produced a brand new music video with Mirko Witzki for one of the most challenging and demanding songs off our album A Valediction. ‘The Neuromancer’ features high speed riffing, sharp solos and a spot on performance by the entire band.”

Obscura’s A Valediction was released last November and is available wherever you get your music.
