Back in August, we reported that Portuguese gothic metal band Moonspell were forced to cancel their North American tour due to “unsolvable logistic and transportation problems.” It was a shitty situation that left fans in North America unable to see the band perform live. Well, it turns out fans in the U.K. and Europe are shit out of luck as well, as they’ve now canceled their upcoming tour in those regions as well.

According to a post on the band’s Instagram account, their Fullmoon Over the U.K. and Ireland Tour has been axed, saying the band had “no other option.” The main reason behind the cancellation? Ongoing financial problems and uncertainty in the region.

“To everybody who bought a ticket please accept our apologies and gratitude. You can ask for your refund at your ticket provider.

Financial and logistical issues have plagued several tours in recent months, with the war in Ukraine causing severe price hikes in Europe and an increased number of tours following the COVID-19 lockdowns snapping up all the available tour buses.

Here’s hoping Moonspell can get back out on the road, for their sake, their crew’s sake, and their fans’ sake.
