We’re getting closer to the end of summer, which unfortunately means the end of major music festivals dotting the northern hemisphere. Actually, who am I kidding — dotting Europe, since the U.S. very rarely gets to host a doesn’t a metal focused festival worth a damn. Thanks to the internet, though, we can live vicariously through our heavy metal brothers and sisters across the pond.

Back on June 3, thrash metal band Sacred Reich tore through a 13-song set spanning their five albums, including their 2019 release Awakening, at the Rock Hard Festival in Germany. You can check out their entire set courtesy of the WDR Rockpalast YouTube channel.

Their Rock Hard Festival performance was something of a triumphant return to the stage for the band, as they were forced to cancel their sets at Copenhell, Graspop Metal Meeting, and Hellfest so guitarist Wiley Arnett could undergo surgery for an undisclosed condition.

Be sure to check out WDR Rockpalast’s YouTube page for even more live setlists, with performances by Kataklysm, Blind Guardian, and Grave Digger.
