We all now know that Bloodbath frontman Nick Holmes sees his lyrics as “another instrument to me,” but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t find any meaning or enjoyment out of them. That’s why earlier today the death metal outfit uploaded the lyric video for what’s likely the very last single off of Survival of the Sickest in “No God Before Me.’

With just days remaining before the new album’s release, “No God Before Me” really sets the bar as the album’s heavy, crushing, and methodical finale. The sense of foreboding and grandeur is palpable.

It’s also worth noting that the new song and video were released on the same day that Duff’s Brooklyn is hosting the 11th Annual Duff’s Blood Drive, where you can give blood to benefit the New York Blood Center while listening to Bloodbath’s newest record and enjoying some special Bloodbath-branded beer from Bolero Snort Brewery afterward. It’s sure to be a killer time.

Survival of the Sickest will be available on September 9 and is currently available for preorder via Napalm Records.
